Plot: John McClane and a store owner must play a bomber's deadly game as they race around New York while trying to stop him.
An above average action movie, though the average for action movies was never that high. Still, this movie has it's tense moments and is overall pretty fun to watch.
Ohhhhhh!! This was one of my old school favorites. I could watch this movie over and over and over. Still can. I love it. Bruce did an awesome job here. He is very precise with his acting and the character. It is again, I say awesome. Highly recommend.
die hard goes buddy movie. the casting is fine and the action is good. it just fails to be really distinctive.
John Mcclaine returns as the heroic NY cop in the second best of the Die Hard series. Samuel L. Jackson plays his racist sidekick.
fentastic movie.... i love all the actors & actress i seen in this movie... this is the complete action movie
Good actionfilm (better than the second Die Hard film) with Samuel L. Jackson completing the cast perfectly.
A great 3rd film in the trilogy. Again great action. Bruce Willis is again great as Mclane. Jeremy Irons the a excellent villian.
Not as good as the first but better than the sequel, John McTiernan revitalized the franchise he started... a good action movie with a decent plot twist...
The mind games and Samuel L. Jackson bring McClane to a new level.
Other than the fourth, this is the best of the Die Hard sequels.
really hard...bruce willis really goes hard in this movie along with samuel...really nice movie .where a whole international reserve was looted from the main city centre...really nice tactics....
i love when he has to walk the street's and the black gang practicly kill him. and his like "i have a really bad head ach". and all the games simon makes them play.
While It didnt contain as much action as the previous films, it still was well acted, and I was amazed at that the good acting was back in this sequel again 5 stars
"your a racist, you dont like me cause im white!"
"i dont like you cause your gonna get me killed!"
Simon:You interfered with a well-laid plan.
Zeus: Well, you can stick your well-laid plan up your well-laid ass!!
Completely broke away from the formula of the first two films but not for the better. The McClane character works better solo as long as he seems like an average Joe. However, the later films of the Die Hard series turn him into a dialogue-less, indestructible guy with a loud sidekick. If only Hollywood would learn that a hero with vulnerabilities is better than unstoppable man.
I absolutely HATED this installment! I actually sat stunned in the theater as the End Credits rolled. How could have it all gone so wrong? No Joel Silver as producer, none of the first two installment's screenwriters, and John McTiernan past his prime. B-a-d !
this is the third sequel of "die hard". bruce willis is back to action of a heroes.
since john mcclane fought the terriorists in l.a. and then he fought terriorists at the airport in washington d.c. this time
in new york. he with his cilvilian parter zeus(samuel l. jackson who reuntion with bruce willis in "pulp fiction" and then "unbreakable")
and meet "mystery" terrorist leader was...simon and it was han gruber's(from the terriorist leader from the original)brother.
great car chasing scene and next sequel by 2007 "live free or die hard" since "die hard with a vengeance" in 12 years and reprise only for bruce willis did all the "die hard trilogy".
The third "Die Hard" movie does not spare a second with any type of build up, it's starts off right away with John McClane (Bruce Willis) being forced to play a 'Simon says' game with a bomb terrorist. On his mission he teams up with a electrician from Harlem named Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson). This is my personal favorite in the "Die Hard" series, entertaining, action packed and at times funny, the only complaint I have is that the ending could have been shorter. Other than that "Die Hard With A Vengeance" is action at it\s best.
Put me to sleep in the theatre the first time I saw it. The weakest of the original three but I have seen it since and it's better than I remembered.
Die Hard With a Vengeance was way better than the second one, but not even comparable to the first one. I really liked how they teamed him up with somene in this one, it really added to the film.
Simon says this is the Best Die hard of all of them.Vengeance introduces Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus Carver, Willis' reluctant partner. Jeremy Irons plays the main villain, Simon Gruber. It was directed by John McTiernan and written by Jonathan Hensleigh. It was followed by Live Free or Die Hard in 2007.The antagonist in this movie is Simon Gruber (Jeremy Irons), brother of Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman, who, like Irons, was an English actor playing a German). Hans was a German criminal who was killed by NYPD cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) at the climax of Die Hard, the first film in the series. It first appears as though Simon is out to avenge his brother's death, but it is later revealed that other motives are at work.
The first half of Die Hard with a Vengeance is almost identical to Simon Says; the robbery was added to bring the story in line with other Die Hard films. The original plan was to have the villains burgle the Metropolitan Museum of Art, an idea not used here, but which appears in John McTiernan's film The Thomas Crown Affair and also the video game Die Hard: Vendetta.Brilliant storyline. And how great it is to John.Cuz without him the 2nd was became weak.
And Bruce Willis awesome,Samuel L.JAckson was the best sidekick of action movies..and Jeremy Irons was one helluva villain (smart, german accent and the face of him just remind you man who is always quiet and be a mastermind)
One of the Best Action Movies OF All-Time
My favorite of the Die Hard sequels. I really like the back-and-forth interaction between Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.
