Brad Pitt Confirmed for Tarantino's "Inglorious Bastards"

Entertainment Weekly has received confirmation from Brad Pitt's representatives that Pitt will star in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino-directed WWII project, entitled "Inglorious Bastards." Pitt will play Lieutenant Aldo Raine.
After three weeks of very public negotiations, sources say the movie will land at Universal Pictures. Dealmaking has been handed off to the studio's lawyers, and while nothing is set in stone, it appears that the studio will partner with Tarantino and producer/domestic distributor Harvey Weinstein to co-finance the film and handle international distribution.
"Inglorious Bastards" is set in World War 2 and revolves around a group of soldiers on their way to be executed, only to get the chance for a reprieval.
